A Night Filled With Perfection, a Gift for a Beat Up Town

A crowd swamped the area around the Superdome forming a huge human sea, creating a horrible traffic jam, but everyone wanted to be there for their team’s return. It meant so much more than a football game, it meant hope had come back, it meant that they were back to being a normal city, it was a ray of light in a year filled with disaster and disappointment, they just needed something else to think about.

In a very loud return to their brand new rebuilt stadium, the Saints gave the Big Easy something to cheer about. That day they were just an undefeated football team that made it look like it was a peace of cake to with a 23-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. But even with its shiny new cover, in the bottom of many hearts the New Orleans Saints Superdome remained a symbol of Katrina’s misery.

Just 90 seconds into the game that the New Orleans Saints flopped on a ball in the end zone and from then on the party was on. The defense

Nfl – Cardinals are Considered the Underdog for the Super Bowl

The surprising and just two-time NFL Champion, the Arizona Cardinals are considered for some as the underdog of this year’s Super Bowl XLIII, which will be played on February 1st at Tampa, Florida. The Arizona Cardinals finished the regular season with a decent but not surprising record of 9 victories and 7 loses, winning the West division title. However, after classifying to the playoffs of the NFL, many expected them to lose in the first round against the Atlanta Falcons, but things didn’t happen the way people thought and the Cardinals defeated the Falcons in great way with a score of 30-24.

Even so, with people still not believing in the Cardinals game, they projected again that the Carolina Panthers in the following game would disqualify the team. Nevertheless, the Cardinals surprised everyone again by beating the Panthers with a shocking score of 33-13 at their favor. Getting into the NFC Championship, the Arizona Cardinals were

2007 Nfl Betting: Analyzing the Nfc South

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-6 SU, 10-6 ATS): Sean Payton did the impossible in New Orleans last season, turning a moribund 3-13 team into a Super Bowl contender. With the return of QB Drew Brees, twin RB threats Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush, and emerging WR star Marques Colston, the offense is lethal. The defense also showed improvement under first year coordinator Gary Gibbs but lacked aggression, finishing 31st in the NFL in takeaways in 2006. The line, led by Charles Grant and Will Smith, is solid but the Saints need more big-play potential at linebacker and in the secondary. Still, an offense as potent as New Orleans’ will win a lot of games.

By the Numbers (Regular Season, 1998-2006)

SU: 64-80

ATS: 69-72-3

HF: 14-24-1

HD: 10-16-2

AF: 9-6

AD: 32-25

Sportsbook Buster: The Saints are 8-2 ATS their last 10 games versus the 49ers, who they play in San Francisco, Oct.

The Boring Truth About Being THE BEST: Five Back-to-Basics Tips to Help You Create a Culture of Greatness (and Power Through the Recession)

Being the best is no big secret. The power of doing the little, ordinary, boring things right—over and over again.

By Jon Gordon

What if everyone in your company worked relentlessly to be the best? The best salesperson…the best customer service professional…the best manager…the best (let’s just say) cake decorator or corporate blogger or nonprofit fundraiser in the industry? It’s a simple notion but one with profound implications. After all, a company made up of the best people in the business is itself the best in the business—and while there are no sure bets, being the best is the closest you’ll ever come to a get-out-of-the-recession-free card.

Any company can create a culture of greatness. Why don’t they? Probably because they don’t know how.

Brett Favre Vikings

So, in retirement, out of retirement. Won’t play in the NFC North *WILL* play again in the NFC North.

Brett Favre, one of the NFL’s most beloved quarterbacks started his career as, get this, a Falcon! Yep, in 1991, he was drafted in the 2nd round by Atlanta and played one season.

He was unceremoniously traded to the Packers in 1992 and what more needs be said?

He was with the Packers for 16 years and literally dominated the stats. Hall of Fame material? Well, duh!

He has set records in Most Touchdown Passes (442) to Most Quarterback Wins (160).

But wait, there’s more. After “retiring” from the Packers in 2008, he quickly came out of retirement and played for New York Jets. Lackluster play and, let’s face it, a lackluster supporting cast, drove Brett into his second retirement at the end of the 08-09 season.

But wait, yes, there’s more! During this past offseason, Brett strongly suggested his 2nd retirement was not going to be

NFL Power Rankings Week 13: Saints and Colts Stay Undefeated

Now, it’s time for NFLpower rankings week 13 and I’m ready to rank all 32 teams in our week 13 power rankings. The Monday night NFL game between the Patriots and Saints has just completed and the Saints make their statement.

We have reached week 13 with two unbeaten teams. The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints have both beat the New England Patriots. The Saints and Colts are yet again in the top two spots, we can see two teams go 16-0 in the regular season. But at this point, the clear number one team in the league has to be Drew Brees and company.

In the week 13 NFL power rankings, there really isn’t any team more deserving of the top spot than the New Orleans Saints.

Week 13 NFL power rankings clearly show that it is going to be a tough path ahead for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tennessee Titans, who won their fifth consecutive game with a fourth quarter comeback on Sunday afternoon.

Down the Stretch They Come

As the National Football League enters the final quarter of its regular season, the contenders for championships have been distilled from the mash of 32 teams. The fans of the dregs must come to grips with their fate. Their only solace is to check out the college bowl games to see whom their teams might draft in April.

American Football Conference
East Division: New England has stumbled the past two weeks but still leads the division by one game over the Jets and Dolphins. The Patriots split the meetings with both contenders so their game at Buffalo will weigh heavily when the tie-breakers are applied. A loss to the Bills would give Miami the tie-breaking advantage over New England. The Jets could easily make up ground versus the putrid Buccaneers, injury-riddled Falcons then probably complacent Colts. This race looks to go down to the final game of the regular season.

North Division: Only four losses to close out the regular season would prevent

NFL Week 11 Picks, 2009 NFL Week 11 Odds

NFL Week 11 Power Rankings:Week 10 had some great games across the board with Sunday Night Football as the game of the week.  The Colts vs. Patriots lived up to and exceeded expectations.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning threw for over 700 yards and seven touchdowns.  However Patriot’s coach Bill Belicheck’s decision to go for it on 4th and 2 from his own 28 yard line with two minutes to go with a six point lead will be the most talked about topic at water coolers around the country.

I understand Peyton Manning is one of the best in football in the final two minutes but how do you not punt in that situation?  Even with a bad punt, the Colts probably have to go at least 60 yards.  Instead, the Colts have just 28 yards to go and easily win the game.  The Colts won the game and remain ahead of the Pats in the rankings, but don’t be fooled; The Patriots are back and clicking on all cylinders on offense.
Teams’ previous ranking in (
