Seattle Seahawks Tickets – New Hopes Follow New Coaches

When Mike Holmgren announced that he would be retiring after the 2008 season, no one was quite sure what that meant for the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to the 2008 season, most though it would mean that someone would have to take over the dominant Seahawks and keep their winning streak going. The team had made the playoffs for the last few years and was hopeful for another similar season. That was not the case, however, as the Seahawks finished 4-12. Now looking at rebuilding their program, the Seahawks administration has started looking toward revamping their coaching staff. They have made strides recently, hiring Casey Bradley as the defensive coordinator, Greg Knapp as the offensive coordinator and Dan Quinn as the defensive line coach and assistant head coach. Fans can see them all next season with Seattle Seahawks tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/seattle-seahawks-tickets.

Pittsburgh Steelers Tickets – What Will 2010 Look Like for the Steelers?

Following the 2008 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers were showing their dominance by taking home the Super Bowl championship. When they were hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy high in the air, few could have predicted where the Steelers would find themselves in the preseason leading up to the 2010 season. In 2009, they finished third in the AFC North with a record of 9-7, missing the playoffs.

The team is now focused on getting back to top form, and they took a step in the right direction with the 2010 NFL Draft in April. Their offensive line received a boost with their first-round selection: Florida center Mourkice Pouncey. Even though he is a center, many analysts are expecting him to start at guard. He provides needed protection for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (more on him later). Their attention turned to the defense for their second-round selection, and they picked Virginia Tech defensive end Jason Worilds. With development, Worilds could become quite the

NFL Tickets ? Andre Johnson Is Best Option at WR for Fantasy

As the league continues to stress passing, wide receivers are invaluable assets to your fantasy team, particularly in points per reception leagues.  Here’s the way I see the top five wideouts this year.

5.  Anquan Boldin, Baltimore Ravens.  This is a bold pick (no pun intended) but Anquan is set up really well in Baltimore.  Larry Fitzgerald will probably go here in most leagues, but Matt Leinart is far from proven as an NFL quarterback and defenses will now get a chance to roll coverage over to Fitzgerald after the Cardinals shipped out Boldin.  Even as the second option, Boldin had more than 1,000 yards each of the last two seasons and now is the unquestioned number one wideout on the roster with a strong-armed quarterback in Joe Flacco throwing him the ball.  The upside for Boldin is huge this year and you know he’s going to help the Ravens sell plenty of <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’,

How American College Football Elevated To Pro

How American College Football Elevated To Pro

In the early 19th century, some students at Princeton played a game that was known as “ballown,” where they used their fists and their feet to advance the ball. During that time, there were no hard and fast established rules; the goal was simply to advance the ball past the opposing team. At Harvard, freshmen and sophomores competed in a game that was called “Bloody Monday,” a football-like game that was played on the first Monday of every school year. Around 1860, the game soon caught popularity among the Boston Common and had several variations.

The First Intercollegiate Football Game

Around 1865, colleges began organizing football games, which still did not have clearly instituted rules and gameplay. Princeton established some rudimentary rules some time in 1867 and in that year, American football was patented for the first time. In addition to Princeton’s rules, Rutgers College contributed a set of rules in that same year. In

Why Everybody Wants New Orlean Saints Tickets In 2010

In the National Football League, winning (especially winning the Super Bowl!) breeds a healthy dose of popularity.  Combine that with a previous history of football futility like that of the Saints franchise, and you can end up with a perfect storm of national enthusiasm for a previously downtrodden team that – suddenly – everyone loves!  With this in mind, the Saints are now viewed in a positive light by thousands and thousands of fans across the nation, and New Orlean Saints tickets are going to be some of the toughest to find in 2010.

There Is No Place Like Home –

The Super Bowl champion Saints will once again rock the Louisiana Superdome for the 2010 season, starting the entire NFL season off with an exciting rematch of last season’s National Football Conference championship against the Minnesota Vikings.  Saints quarterback Drew Brees has gone on the record saying that he expects the Vikings to have gunslinger Bret Favre

Jets, Giants competes to host 2014 Super Bowl

Two of the top National Football League (NFL) teams has formally submitted their intention to host the 2014 Super Bowl festivity at the New Meadowlands Stadium. The New York Jets and New York Giants has formally informed the NFL hierarchy that each of them are willing to host the Super Bowl in 2014. Some of the top players and officials of each team had joined the cause for each team to win the chance to host the Super Bowl. Jets star quarterback Mark Sanchez said the team had long desired to host the Super Bowl. Jets owner Woody Johnson said if ever his team will win the chance to host the Super Bowl it would be a great honor for his team and its countless fans. Aside from the two Tampa and Miami are the other two potential sites, and both have hosted Super Bowls in the last two years. Two of the next three Super Bowls are to be held in relatively new stadiums, in Dallas this season and Indianapolis in 2012. Whoever wins the prestigious chance to host the Super Bowl

Tony Gonzalez Falcons Jerseys are Best Sellers in Atlanta

Tony Gonzalez Falcons jerseys have been extremely popular over the last few months. When the Atlanta Falcons announced that they traded for the Pro Bowl and future Hall of Fame tight end, the fans could not have been anymore excited. Everyone started rushing out to buy their own Atlanta Falcons Tony Gonzalez jersey, and everybody is pumped to see what the offense is going to look like now.

When Matt Ryan debuted as a rookie, everybody had high expectations but they didn’t necessarily expect anything to happen in the immediate future. They figured that like most rookie quarterbacks, Ryan would need a fairly long adjustment period while he figured out the NFL game and learned to play at the raised level of intensity, speed and complexity.

However, Ryan came out of the gates quickly and he led the Falcons to a great season. This was in part due to the great addition of running back Michael Turner. Now Ryan will have another great weapon to go to, one that

Week 3 Player Rankings

Quarterbacks

Tony Romo at GB. Gonna occupy this week every week until Manning starts producing TDs. Jay Cutler vs. NO. Really blossoming into a point producer. Drew Brees at DEN. Like Manning, needs more TD tosses. Aaron Rodgers vs. DAL. Frighteningly accurate this season and faces a weakened and tired Dallas secondary. J.T. Sullivan vs. DET. It has been 12 years since a 49er QB has been ranked this high, but Steve Young could step behind center this weekend and torch Detroit for 300 yards and 2 TDs. Philip Rivers vs. NYJ. With a hobbled LT, Rivers turns effectively to the air. Peyton Manning vs. JAX. Needs a healthy Clark and an effective Harrison to put “normal” Manning numbers up. Eli Manning vs. CIN. Could throw all day left-handed and put up good numbers against a horrible Bengals squad. Donovan McNabb vs. PITT. Only reason so low is he is coming off an exhausting MNF game in Dallas. Really in a groove right now. Jake Delhomme at MINN. The
