Falcons Finally Have a Chance to Get Off to a Good Start in the Opening Month

There are seven clubs that are candidates for rebound status in 2006 the seven flopped relatively miserably in 2005, averaging only 6.6 victories and three of the clubs finishing in last place in their divisions. They are: Atlanta, Green Bay, Minnesota, the New York Jets, Philadelphia, St. Louis and San Diego. All made the postseason in 2004, and the Eagles played in Super Bowl XXXIX.

The Atlanta Falcons have never won consecutive campaigns in the 40-year history of the franchise. The Falcons are under intense pressure from ownership to win big in 2006 and probably we will find the truth about them two polarized very polarized performances. The consequence of owner Arthur Blank’s off-season spending and the all defensive renovations promulgated by general manager Rich McKay and Mora could be, even in what figures to be a fiercely contended NFC South, a rebound return to postseason play.

Team officials have made no pretense about

The Nick Saban Syndrome

The Nick Saban Syndrome

I call it the Nick Saban syndrome. Habitual lying or being so neurotic about a job the person feels its time to leave when times get rough. Sometimes it’s more money, a better team or ownership. In some cases the coach is just in way over his head, realizes he has no idea what he’s doing and decides to leave before the situation gets worse. In the case of Bobby Petrino, he has the classic Saban symptoms.

Bobby Petrino always has the coaching “itch.” His longest tenure at any coaching position was his last job. Petrino was the head coach at Louisville for four years before he bolted for the NFL. In the summer of 2006 Bob decided it was time for a change. He signed a contract to become the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. At the time, this was an ideal job. Petrino walked into a situation where he had a star quarterback, nice running game, budding wide receivers and a stellar defense. Bobby is also heralded as an offensive guru who

Oakland Raiders Tickets- Cornerback Hall Released

Like it or not, the removal of head coach Lane Kiffin may have been just the beginning of the changes coming to the Oakland Raiders. Owner Al Davis dropped his next axe before week 10′s match by releasing cornerback DeAngelo Hall. After the release, more changes to the roster are expected by the Raiders. Hall is no has been, either. The Raiders just picked him up this year and signed up to a seven-year, &72 million dollar contract. Hall has already received some million from the Raiders, which raised questions about why the Raiders would drop him after only eight games this season. After the Raiders lost 24-0 to the Atlanta Falcons during week nine, the Raider administration decided to start hacking away at the roster. Many of the players under consideration for release are also some of the most well paid on the roster. The changes could mean an exciting new team, meaning fans should reserve their Oakland Raiders tickets at

List Of Divisions For The NFL Teams

With 32 teams competing in the NFL leagues each year it would be difficult for me to review them all in one article, therefore here is a summary of some of the more popular and successful NFL teams through the previous years.

Firstly, the most recent winners of the Super Bowl – The Pittsburgh Steelers from Pennsylvania, they are in the North Division of the AFC, and were founded in 1933. In there time the Steelers have won the Superbowl 6 times, making them one of the more successful NFL teams to date. One of the more recent victorious times for the Steelers is known as the Chuck Noll Era when they hired him as their coach and he bought with it a change in their luck, with the retirement of Chuck Noll came the hiring of Bill Cowher who led the Steelers to the playoffs consecutively for the first six years. Their latest success comes at the pride of Art Rooney´s five sons who have an 80% share in the team.

The next team to mention is the Greenbay

Seattle Seahawks Tickets – New Hopes Follow New Coaches

When Mike Holmgren announced that he would be retiring after the 2008 season, no one was quite sure what that meant for the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to the 2008 season, most though it would mean that someone would have to take over the dominant Seahawks and keep their winning streak going. The team had made the playoffs for the last few years and was hopeful for another similar season. That was not the case, however, as the Seahawks finished 4-12. Now looking at rebuilding their program, the Seahawks administration has started looking toward revamping their coaching staff. They have made strides recently, hiring Casey Bradley as the defensive coordinator, Greg Knapp as the offensive coordinator and Dan Quinn as the defensive line coach and assistant head coach. Fans can see them all next season with Seattle Seahawks tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/seattle-seahawks-tickets.

Pittsburgh Steelers Tickets – What Will 2010 Look Like for the Steelers?

Following the 2008 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers were showing their dominance by taking home the Super Bowl championship. When they were hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy high in the air, few could have predicted where the Steelers would find themselves in the preseason leading up to the 2010 season. In 2009, they finished third in the AFC North with a record of 9-7, missing the playoffs.

The team is now focused on getting back to top form, and they took a step in the right direction with the 2010 NFL Draft in April. Their offensive line received a boost with their first-round selection: Florida center Mourkice Pouncey. Even though he is a center, many analysts are expecting him to start at guard. He provides needed protection for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (more on him later). Their attention turned to the defense for their second-round selection, and they picked Virginia Tech defensive end Jason Worilds. With development, Worilds could become quite the
